Data Collection Enhancement to Sidekick
In Q1 our Development team deployed over 120 fixes and enhancements, including 2024 tax updates for payroll.
🆕Data Collection Functionality added to Sidekick
Windward System Five Sidekick has been enhanced to include Data Collection.
This added function helps you:
- Create Scan batches
- Send to System Five for
- Physical Inventory
- Cycle Counts
- Pick List Check
- PO Creation/Receiving
This functionality was added in order to replace the SCAN-App which relied strictly on the Android platform. With Windward System Five Sidekick, you can use any modern web-enabled device.
Why would you use this feature?
System Five Sidekick allows you get away from the desk so you can get more accomplished. Most clients use this for inventory, but there's many uses and we keep adding onto the new app.
Other minor enhancements
- Added setup registry changes to the event log
- A new toolbox item was added to remap linked files

Customers are required to be on an active Windward Maintenance Contract or a Windward System Five on Cloud subscriber to install or receive product updates.
